PHapp® keeps getting better. Here's what we've added recently, from accessibility and heat-risk maps to cross-device sync and richer sharing.

What's New in PHapp®.

2026

April 2026 — Sharing & topics

Subscribe to the topics that matter to you — now more dynamic, and linkable across jurisdictions. Sharing an alert offers more options, and links shared by text or social media come with rich, real-time previews.

2025

December 2025 — Sync across devices

Sign in to save your preferences and synchronize them across your devices. Signing in is optional — PHapp® stays free with no account required.

October 2025 — A redesign, built for accessibility

A brand-new design with a refreshed palette and improved legibility, meeting WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA. New Priority and Pinned sections surface urgent alerts and local resources, and you can now review expired alerts to see a community's recent activity.

June 2025 — NWS HeatRisk maps

PHapp® now includes the National Weather Service HeatRisk index — a forecast of heat-related risk over 24 hours, factoring how unusual the heat is, its duration, and CDC data on health impacts.

May 2025 — Trust & transparency

Map markers gained extended info and one-tap directions. Videos now carry Content Credentials (C2PA) — a verifiable "ingredient list" for how content was made. And anonymous view metrics show reach without any tracking or user profiling.

April 2025 — Maps, videos & local imagery

Custom maps show local resources for different alerts, native videos explain impacts and precautions, and agencies can distribute local flyers and community imagery in-app. Deep links now open directly in the app.

March 2025 — CDC charts + the web app

Updated Flu, RSV & COVID-19 charts from the CDC for each community, a refreshed design, and a new web version at ph.app.

January 2025 — PHapp® 3.0

The foundation for everything above.
